Endico brand frozen vegetables have been recalled for Listeria contamination. Consumers who purchase this brand should check their freezers. Listeria can cause severe illness that are often fatal. Among pregnant women, Listeria can cause miscarriage and stillbirth.
Endico Frozen Vegetable Listeria Recall
The recalled vegetables were sold in clear, plastic 2.5-lb pakages with “Endico” appearing in the red and green label. They were distributed to stores in Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washingyton, DC.
- Peas and carrots: production date 6/11/25, lot 110625, use by date 6/10/27
- Mixed vegetables: lproduction date 6/17/25, ot 170625, use by date 6/16/27
Symptoms of a Listeria Infection
Symptoms of a Listeria infection symptoms usually develop within one to 14 days of exposure, but sometimes it can take as long as 10 weeks for them to develop. They include:
- Severe headache
- HIgh fever
- Stiff neck and other muscle aches
- Fatigue
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Convulsions
Pregnant women can suffer miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only have mild, flu-like symptoms. At the time of the recall the company said it was not aware of any illnesses.
