Brie cheese distrbuted to Cheese Plate locations in Brooklyn has been recalled for Listeria.
The recalled Brie Royal Faucon was distributed to Cheese Plate Park Slope, located at 400 7th Avenue, where it was cut and sold at the Park Slope and Carroll Gardens locations from July 24, 2025 through August 13, 2025.
The recalled 1-kg packages of cheese, made from pasteurized cow’s milk, were placed in wooden boxes and packed two ujits per case. The lot number 615 appears on the side of the wooden box and each case.
The recall was issued after the cheesemaker, located outsied the U.S., was notified by health authorities that the cheese could be contaminated with Listeria.
Listeria Symptoms
Usually, Listeria symptoms develop within one to 14 days of exposure, but can sometimes take as long as 10 weeks to appear. They include: High fever, severe headache, stiff neck, other muscle stiffness, gastrointestinal symptoms and neurologcal symptoms such as confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.
Pregnant women can suffer miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only have mild, flu-like symptoms
At the time of the recall Cheese Plate was not aware of any illnesses.
