Aunt Mid’s and Peeters sliced mushrooms have been recalled for Listeria. Wiet Peeters Farm Products Limited of Charing Cross, Ontario, issued the recall for sliced mushrooms sold at grocery stores in Michigan and Ohio on July 10.

Symptoms of a Listeria Infection

Listeria symptoms usually appear one to 10 days after eating contaminated food, but can sometimes take as long as 10 weeks to develop. Pregnant women can suffer miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only have mild, flu-like symptoms.

Symptoms of Listeria infection may include:

  • Stiff neck
  • Fever
  • Muscle aches
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Confusion
  • Loss of balance
  • Convulsions
