Homestyle wieners and Polish sausage made by Rucks Meat and Tollefson Pork Products have been recalled for Listeria. The products were sold at farmers’ markets and Rucks Meat Processing in Belle Plaine. Consumers who have purchased them should not eat them.
The problem was discovered through routine sampling by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA).
Rucks Meat, Tollefson Pork Products Listeria Recall
Ruck’s Meat Processing made the recalled products sold under both brand names.
Tollefson Family Pork products included in this recall were sold at various farmers’ markets and wholesale events. They are:
- Homestyle Wieners
- Smoked Polish Sausage w/Cheddar Cheese
- No Sugar Added Homestyle Wieners
- The establishment number “8921” inside the State of Minnesota mark of inspection and a packed-on date of “6-25-25” on the label.
Ruck’s Meat Processing products included in this recall were sold at their retail store in Belle Plaine. They are:
- Cheese Polish Sausage
- The establishment number “8921” inside the State of Minnesota mark of inspection and a packed-on date of “6-25-25” on the label.

Symptoms of a Listeria Infection
Listeria symptoms usually develop within one to 14 days of consuming contaminated food, but can take as long as 10 weeks to appear. Pregnant women can suffer miscarriage or stillbirth even if they only have mild, flu-like symptoms.
Symptoms of Listeria infection may include:
- Severe headache
- Stiff neck
- Fever
- Muscle aches
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Confusion
- Loss of balance
- Convulsions
