GreenWise baby food pouches sold at Publix stores have been recalled for lead contamination. Consumers who have purchased these products should not feed them to their babies.
The Danger of Lead Exposure
People exposed to large amounts of lead can develop acute lead poisoning. Symptoms include anemia, abdominal pain, weakness, and brain damage from seizures, encephalopathy, and coma. But for children, exposure to small amounts of lead can cause issues with brain development.
