Two guests who stayed at The Grandview Hotel, at 9940 S. Las Vegas Blvd., in April 2025 developed Legionnaires’ disease. Another guest became ill after a February 2025 stay. All of them were hospitalized.
After learning of the illnesses, the Southern Nevada Health District collected water samples from the hotel. Multiple samples tested positive for Legionella. Hotel management has conducted remediation efforts to flush the bacteria from the water system.

Legionnaires’ Disease Symptoms
Because Legionnaires’ disease is a severe form of pneumonia, most people with Legionnaires’ disease require hospitalization, and about 10 percent of cases are fatal. Symptoms of Legionnaires’ disease usually develop within two to 14 days after exposure. They include:
