Jule’s Foods of Carlsbad, CA issued a recall on April 23, 2021. The cashew brie recall included all varieties of Jule’s Foods products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) identified cashews as the source of the contamination. The agency did not disclose the name of the cashew supplier for the Jule’s Foods but said the company does not sell cashews to consumers and had contacted its other customers and told them to remove any products containing the nuts from the market. Cashews are tree nuts that can only grow in tropical climates and are not produced commercially in the United States, according to the CDC.
