Willis Electric Recalls Artificial Christmas Trees Sold at Home Depot Due to Burn Hazard

Willis Electric recalled 99,000 artificial Christmas trees sold at Home Depot due to burn injury risks. The recall affects Home Accents Holiday artificial Christmas tree products with model numbers W14N0126, W14N0127, W14N0148, W14N0149, and W14N0157. The products were sold exclusively at Home Depot stores from June 2019 to December 2019 for $80-360. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that the foot pedal controller can overheat, posing a burn hazard. There have been 509 reports of the foot pedal overheating and one report of a burn injury.
