Sunbeam 6-Quart Express Crock-Pot Multi-Cookers Recalled for Burn Hazard

Sunbeam has issued a burn hazard recall for its Crock-Pot Express Crock Multi-Cooker sold at Walmart, Target, Amazon and other retailers. Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it as injury can occur. At the time of the recall, there had been 99 reports of burn injuries from consumers who sustained first, second and third-degree burns.

The problem occurs when the crock is used in pressure cooker mode as it can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked and then suddenly detach in use, ejecting hot food and liquids that cause burn injuries.

Consumers should contact posing burn risks to consumers from hot food and liquids ejected from the product.
