Consumers who have purchased this product should not use it as injury can occur. At the time of the recall, there had been 99 reports of burn injuries from consumers who sustained first, second and third-degree burns.

The problem occurs when the crock is used in pressure cooker mode as it can pressurize when the lid is not fully locked and then suddenly detach in use, ejecting hot food and liquids that cause burn injuries.
