Our law firm is pleased to announce that David J. Szerlag, Of Counsel at PO, was appointed on Thursday, February 18, 2016, by Judge Joan Ericksen as Liaison Counsel in MDL 2666, Bair Hugger Forced Air Warming Products Liability Litigation. David will be responsible, among other duties, for assisting lead counsel in managing the activities of the MDL, as well as establishing and maintaining communication with the attorneys and the Court.

Last week, David and his team filed a lawsuit against 3M on behalf of a client who developed a severe infection after hip replacement surgery. Our client required additional surgeries to replace the implant and clean the infected area. This lawsuit is part of the MDL, which is like a class action, but only the pretrial procedures are consolidated.
