The Zimmer Persona knee recall involves all lots and sizes of the Persona brand Trabecular Metal Tibial Plate. Zimmer, Inc. recalled this product after reports of loosening and radiolucent lines in patients who had this product implanted during knee replacement surgery.  Radiolucent lines are something found by radiologists on medical images. They indicate a gap between bone and implant components, and possible tissue damage.  Fluid and tissue debris can fall into the gaps, causing pain.

Loosening and radiolucent lines may mean the knee implant has failed. If this is the case, revision surgery (removal and replacement of implant) may be necessary.  If you had a Zimmer Persona knee implant and need revision surgery, you may be entitled to compensation for medical expenses, cost of care, lost income, pain and suffering, disability and other damages.
