Alden Valley Ridge Legionnaires’ Disease

The first case was diagnosed in early September, according to state health officials. Tests on environmental swabs from the building’s cooling tower and a patient’s room were positive for Legionella. The Illinois Department of Public Health has ordered the skilled nursing facility to put water restrictions in place.

What Are the Symptoms of Legionnaires’ Disease?

Usually, Legionnaires’ disease symptoms appear within two to 14 days after exposure. They include:
