CPSC Recall Announcement: Home Decorators Collection Recalls Wall Sconces Due to Electrical Shock Hazard

March 21, 2007 - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Name of product: Home Decorators Collection Wall Sconces

Units: About 900

Distributor: Home Decorators Collection, of St. Louis, Mo.

Hazard: A missing back plate exposes consumers to live wires, posing a risk of electrical shock to consumers changing the light bulb.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: This recall involves “Oyster Bay” model wall sconces. The Tiffany-style design includes multi-colored glass with a black outline. The following model numbers are involved in the recall. Model numbers are located on the product’s packaging.
