Lexus Owners Class Action Lawsuits Filed
Class action lawsuits have been filed on behalf of consumers who own a recalled Lexus vehicle. The Lexus recall was due to possible sudden, unintended acceleration.
If you or a loved one was injured in a Lexus accident, your compensatory damages may include amounts for any of the following:
- Medical expenses. Hospital bills, chiropractor bills, physical therapy and other medical expenses can be sought in a lawsuit against Toyota.
- Lost income. You may seek lost income if you, your spouse, your parent or other family members had to take time off of work either to recover from injuries resulting from the Toyota accident or to be with an injured family member.
- Pain and suffering. Pain and suffering includes money for physical pain, emotional distress, disability, disfigurement, loss of quality of life and other similar damages.
- Punitive damages. When a company acts in reckless disregard for the safety of consumers, punitive damages may be sought to act as a punishment for the behavior.
If your Lexus is part of a recent recall, and you would like compensation for your losses, contact Attorney David Szerlag at 1-888-377-8900 (toll free), email David or submit our online form for a free consultation.
Recalled Lexus Vehicles
Gas Pedal Entrapment by Floor Mats
Drivers should immediately take out the driver-side floor mat of the following Lexus vehicles:
- 2007-2010 ES 350
- 2006-2010 IS 250 and IS350
After removing the driver-side floor mats, consumers should wait for a letter from Toyota instructing them to go to their dealers for the remedy. More than four million Toyota and Lexus vehicles have been recalled for this safety issue.
Sticky Gas Pedals
Some 2.3 million Toyota vehicles were recalled for problems involving gas pedals that are hard to depress, slow to return to the closed position or remain partially depressed. No Lexus models were included in this recall, dated January 21, 2010.
