Supervalue Recall: Albertsons and Save-A-Lot Ground Beef
Albertsons and Save-A-Lot stores ground beef recall alert: Ground beef sold at Supervalue’s Albertsons stores and Save_A-Lot stores may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, a dangerous foodborne pathogen. The Supervalue ground beef recall involves Albertsons stores in California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming and at Save-A-Lot stores in Arizona, California and Nevada. Supervalue issued this recall after its supplier, United Food Group LLC, recalled 75,000 pounds of ground beef (now expanded to 5.7 million pounds) that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. Contaminated United Food meat may also have been sold at Grocery Outlet, Fry's, Save-Mart, Smart and Final, Smith's and Stater Bros. stores, none of which has an association with Supervalue.
