PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT OUR LAW FIRM ABOUT ZICAM.

At least six Zicam class action lawsuits have been filed against Matrixx Initiatives Inc. and Zicam LLC, the manufacturer of recalled Zicam cold treatment products. These class action lawsuits allege Zicam caused loss of smell (anosmia) and taste, and our lawyers are reviewing potential claims. Contact Pritzker Olsen Attorneys about a Zicam lawsuit.

The FDA advised consumers to stop using Zicam products on June 16 due to reports of people losing their sense of smell from the zinc in Zicam swabs and nasal spray.  On June 24, Matrixx Initiatives recalled all lots of Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel and Zicam Cold Remedy Gel Swabs.

To date, Zicam class action lawsuits involve residents of Arizona, Illinois, California, Florida, Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri.
Allegations include, among other things, the following:

  • Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. and Zicam LLC concealed or omitted material information regarding the safety of the nasal gel products.
  • Matrixx failed to warn claimants of the zinc content and the potential risk of anosmia (smell loss) and taste loss.
  • Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel and Zicam Cold Remedy Gel Swabs are dangerous and defective products that should not have been sold.
