Yamaha Rhino Rollover
Pritzker Olsen, P.A., a premier personal injury law firm, is handling cases involving Yamaha Rhino rollover accidents. Attorney Fred Pritzker was recently interviewed by NBC affiliate KSBY regarding the death of a 12-year-old girl in California and Yamaha Rhino rollover accidents.
We represent a number of people who suffered severe leg and arm fractures in side-by-side Yamaha Rhino rollovers.

Yamaha Rhino 450 and 660 models are alleged to be unstable during normal operational maneuvers (low to moderate speed turning on level ground). In addition, the vehicles were designed and initially sold without doors. Thus, some Yamaha Rhino rollovers have resulted in the occupants' arms and legs being trapped between the ground and the passenger-protective cage.
Attorney Fred Pritzker, said "We are receiving scores of inquiries from people injured during Rhino rollovers. The pattern of injury is strikingly similar: low speed turns leading to sudden roll-overs. The legs and arms of occupants - even while using seat belts - are crushed by the roll cage as the vehicle slams to the ground."
Yamaha Rhino Rollover – Product Liability
Companies sued in product liability cases include the manufacturer of the defective product, the wholesaler or distributor of the product and often the retailer of the product. There are three kinds of product liability cases:
- A design defect (the product was manufactured as intended but it was inherently unsafe). As stated above, defective design issues may be associated with Yamaha Rhino rollovers.
- A manufacturing defect (the design of the product was adequate but this particular product was not made correctly). The facts of a Yamaha Rhino rollover case would determine if this is an issue. Our investigators and expert witnesses would have to thoroughly examine the Yamaha Rhino involved in the accident.
- A failure to warn or instruct (the instructions for and warnings about use of the product were inadequate). Again, the facts of the Yamaha Rhino rollover case would determine if this is an issue.
Product liability is generally considered a strict liability claim. This means the degree of carefulness by the defendant is not an issue in the case. It is irrelevant whether the manufacturer or supplier exercised due care; if there is a defect in the product that causes harm, he or she will be liable for it.
Rhino Rollover – What to Do after an Accident
If you have been injured by a defective product here are some things to consider:
- Do not have the Yamaha Rhino repaired before you contact an attorney at our office. The damaged Yamaha Rhino is evidence, and our office will take all measures to preserve that evidence.
- Save or retain any documents you received when you bought the Yamaha Rhino that was involved in the Yamaha Rhino Rhino rollover. Again, those documents are evidence and may be used to prove “failure to warn” (see above).
- Write down as much information about the Yamaha Rhino involved in the Yamaha Rhino rollover as possible, including the model name and number, place and date of purchase and serial number. Store it in a safe place and do not modify or change it.
- Obtain the name, address and telephone number of any witnesses.
- Do not discuss the Yamha Rhino rollover case with anyone and do not give any written or recorded statements about your Rhino rollover accident. It is critically important to contact an attorney as soon as possible.
