Injures Two Teenagers

Two teenagers from Mazeppa, Minnesota were injured on November 11, 2008 when a Yellow Transportation, Inc. semitrailer collided with a car near Goodhue.  According to the Minnesota State Patrol Incident Report, the Yellow Transportation semitrailer crossed Highway 58 and broadsided the car, driven by Andrew Betcher, 18.  Andrew Betcher and a passenger in the car, Kelli Betcher, 18, of Mazeppa were both injured and hospitalized.  According to the incident report, there were serious personal injuries.

  • In Oklahoma, a Yellow Freight truck collided with a car killing the driver and injuring her son. The family was awarded compensation for medical and funeral expenses, grief, and to establish an annuity for the child (Russell, et al. v Yellow Freight System, Inc., et al.)1.
  • On August 2, 2002 in Ohio, a Yellow Freight driver fell asleep while at the wheel of his truck and hit another vehicle (Smith v. Yellow Freight System, Inc.)2.
  • On Dec. 8, 1996 in Barton County, MO, a Yellow Freight tractor trailer rear-ended a van driving below the speed limit with its four-way flashers on. One passenger suffered minor injuries; two others suffered severe head injuries. One passenger became paralyzed and was confined to a wheelchair as a result of her injuries (Brown v. Yellow Freight System, Inc.)3.
