Pritzker Olsen Attorneys

New Jersey E. coli
Lawsuit and Lawyer

Our law firm is representing a 3-year-old sickened by E. coli and hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS). We have years of E. coli lawsuit experience and have collected millions for E. coli victims throughout the United States.

"Our law firm has represented E. coli victims sickened in major outbreaks involving ground beef, lettuce, spinach, cookie dough and other products," stated Attorney Fred Pritzker. "Our job is to recover as much money as possible for our clients from the companies responsible. This serves our clients and public safety because large recoveries send a message that it is not acceptable to sell food that makes people sick."

New Jersey E. coli Cases Linked to Fairbank Farms Hamburger

hamburger E. coli LawsuitOne case of New Jersey E. coli O157:H7 has been linked to recalled Fairbank Farms hamburger that was repackaged and sold by some retailers, including Shaws, Trader Joes, Price Chopper, Wild Harvest, Lancaster and Giant.

Health officials in several states who were investigating a cluster of E. coli O157:H7 illnesses, with isolates that match by “DNA fingerprinting” analyses, found that most ill persons had consumed ground beef, with several purchasing the same or similar product from a common retail chain.  At least some of the illnesses appear to be associated with products subject to these recalls.  A sample from an opened package of ground beef recovered from a patient's home was tested by the Massachusetts Department of Health and yielded an E. coli O157:H7 isolate that matched the patient isolates by DNA analysis.

The evidence gathered by the CDC and state health officials can be used as evidence in a lawsuit against Fairbank Farms and others. Contact an E. coli lawyer at our law firm for a free consultation.
