Dole Lettuce Recall
URGENT DOLE LETTUCE RECALL – LAWSUIT AND LAWYER: Dole Fresh Vegetables, a division of Dole Food Company, Inc., has announced a recall of all lettuce salad bearing the label "Dole Hearts Delight" sold in the U.S. and Canada with a "best if used by (BIUB)" date of September 19, 2007, and a production code of "A24924A" or "A24924B" stamped on the package. In the United States, the recalled Dole lettuce salad was sold in one-half-pound plastic bags with UPC code 071430-01038. The recall was prompted by the finding of E. coli O157:H7 in a sample in a grocery store in Canada.
According to Dole, the recalled Dole Hearts Delight salad was sold in several states, including Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and neighboring states in the U.S.
If you have any recalled Dole Hearts Delight salad, you should not eat it. If someone has eaten any of the salad, you will need to watch for symptoms of E. coli, including stomach cramps and diarrhea. The diarrhea will be watery or bloody. E. coli poisoning can lead to hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a leading cause of kidney failure in the United States. If you or a family member exhibits any of these symptoms within 3 to 8 days of consuming any of the recalled Dole salad, seek medical attention immediately.
If you are diagnosed with E. coli O157:H7, you will need an E. coli lawyer to gather and preserve evidence, negotiate with Dole, and take the case to court if necessary.
