Tragic Accident in Goodhue County Takes Life of Faribault, Minnesota Woman

Yesterday afternoon, an accident in Goodhue County, Minnesota, took the life of a Faribault, MN woman and seriously injured a teenager.

The teenager was driving a Ford Windstar minivan on County Road 11. She stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 57. As she attempted to cross Highway 57, a Peterbuilt semi-tractor, traveling northbound on Highway 57, struck the minivan. Tragically, a passenger in the minivan, a mother of 5, died and the teenager was seriously injured. We could not find a GoFundMe account for the family. If anyone knows of one, please let us know, and we will link to it.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo One Flight.

The information above is from the preliminary Minnesota State Patrol report.

Ms. Bocanegra was recently reunited with her mother from Columbia, who tells the story of how Ms. Bocanegra was abducted as a baby to Kare 11. There is a GoFundMe account set up to raise funds to get her mother and brother back home to Columbia.
