House Fire Claims the Life of a Lockport, NY Woman

A Lockport, NY woman died Thursday morning in a house fire. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death for Holly A. Seiler, 54.

The fire, at 605 E. High St., was reported just after 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 20. Firefighters battled the blaze at the two-family house,  located across the street from Roy B. Kelley Elementary School, for an hour and 40 minutes.

“The cause of the fire and the cause of death are still under investigation,” Police Chief Michael F. Niethe told the Buffalo News. Fire Chief Patrick K. Brady told the paper that the fire damage was confined to one room on the second floor of the house and that evidence from the scene had been sent to a laboratory for analysis.
