Costco and Taylor Farms Lawsuit for E. coli in 2015

Our law firm is representing people sickened in the E. coli O157:H7 outbreak linked to a celery and diced onion blend produced by Taylor Farms and used to prepare Costco Rotisserie Chicken Salad and other products. The Montana Department of Health found E. coli 0157:H7 in a sample of the celery and diced onion bled, which is “smoking gun” evidence that the illnesses were caused by this product.

Anyone sickened in the outbreak can use our free consultation form to find out if they can sue Costco and Taylor Farms for E. coli from chicken salad. If your child was sickened, you can ask about filing an E. coli lawsuit on behalf of your child.

Costco Rotisserie Chicken Salad has been linked to illnesses in seven states:

California (1), Colorado (4), Missouri (1), Montana (6), Utah (5), Virginia (1), and Washington (1).

Five of the people sickened have been hospitalized, and two of them developed hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), a complication that causes renal failure and a host of other severe problems, including stroke, pancreatitis and dangerously high blood pressure (hypertension). HUS can be fatal

All 19 patients were sickened by E. coli bacteria with the same genetic “fingerprints,” determined using pulsed field-gel electrophoresis (PFGE). This is solid evidence that they were all sickened by the same source.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expects the outbreak to grow in the next few weeks, as new patients are diagnosed and the diagnoses are reported to local health departments. Illnesses in this outbreak began on October 6, 2015 and have continued to November 10, 2015. Illnesses after November 10 have not yet been reported to officials.
