Personal Injury and Wrongful Death

Bowling for a Cause with Joe Mauer

Pritzker Olsen once again sponsored the annual Lanes for Friendship bowling fundraiser in December, with special guest Joe Mauer hosting the event. The bowling event benefits the Highland Friendship Club, a St. Paul, Minn., organization which provides social activities for young adults with disabilities.

This year the organization raised $32,000, nearly a quarter of the Friendship Club’s operating budget, according to Executive Director Mary McKeown. For many of our staff and attorneys, this event is their favorite annual firm outing. It is an opportunity to meet some great young people, and also a chance to bowl with Joe Mauer.

“The organization plays a critical role in enriching the lives of young adults with disabilities within our community,” said attorney Renee Pritzker, who is also an HFC board member. The group provides a variety of activities including art and music classes, a fitness program, swim lessons, movie nights, dances, community volunteer opportunities and outings to local sights and cultural events. It is a safe place to be with friends and build social skills and independence, but most importantly, to have fun.
