Canton, Connecticut, Salmonella Linked to Margaritas Restaurant
State and local health officials are investigating a possible outbreak of Salmonella associated with Margaritas, a Canton, Connecticut, restaurant. Ten people who ate at Margaritas between Sept. 21-27, 2006, have tested positive for Salmonella poisoning, called salmonellosis. All ten people were infected by the same strain of Salmonella bacteria.
People who ate at Margaritas in Canton, Connecticut from September 21 to October 13, 2006, may have been affected. If you had symptoms of Salmonella poisoning or develop symptoms of Salmonella poisoning, you should contact your doctor. Symptoms of Salmonella poisoning include: nausea, vomiting, cramps and other flu-like symptoms.
