Nexgrill Gas Grill Recall
On June 1, 2006, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of about 16,000 Nexgrill gas grills manufactured by Nexgrill Industries Inc., of City of Industry, California. The recalled Nexgrill gas grill is the Nexgrill Model 720-0025 Gas Grill, a gas grill is a stainless steel grill designed to be used with propane gas.
The recalled Nexgrill gas grill has a hose that connects the propane tank to the burner manifold. If this hose runs up too close to the firebox, the heat can cause the hose to detach from the burner manifold, causing a gas leak and a fire hazard. According to the CPSC announcement, Nexgrill has received 31 incident reports, including 28 fires, three hoses melting, two cases of property damage, and four injuries.
