Other Liable Parties: Distributors, Processors and Restaurants

When our lawyers investigate an E. coli outbreak, we determine parties who could be liable (legally responsible). The recalled JBS Swift Beef Company beef products were further processed by others. This means that a lawsuit would almost certainly seek money damages from JBS Swift Beef Company and the company that further processed the beef.

This is important for those sickened because if one party goes bankrupt or is underinsured, the other party responsible for paying the entire amount owed to the E. coli victim and his or her family.
