Baugher's Apple Cider E. coli Lawsuit

Apple Cider RecallOur attorneys are investigating an E. coli O157:H7 outbreak in Maryland associated with the consumption of unpasteurized apple cider made at Baugher’s Orchard & Farm of Westminster, Maryland.  The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) have reported a cluster of seven E. coli O157 infections. Three people have been hospitalized. E. coli O157 can cause hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), the leading cause of kidney failure in children in the United States.

In response to this ongoing investigation, Baugher's issued a voluntary recall of all its apple cider because of potential E. coli contamination.

Bravo Farms Cheese Lawsuit: Compensation for
E. coli and HUS Victims

Unpasteurized apple cider poses an E. coli poisoning risk, and sellers of this product are responsible to make sure it is safe for consumers. We have sued many food manufacturers and won money for our clients. Compensation for E. coli and HUS victims can include amounts for the following:

  • Medical expenses
  • Lost income
  • Pain and suffering
  • Emotional distress
  • Disability
  • Loss of quality of life
  • Other damages

The medical expenses for E. coli and E. coli HUS patients are usually high and may extend into the future. Our attorneys hire medical experts to determine the expected amount of future medical expenses and how much should be sought for future pain and suffering.
