Recalled Cargill Hamburger Sold at BJs Wholesale Club
An E coli O26 outbreak in Maine, New York and possibly other states prompted Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation of Pennsylvania to recall 8,500 pounds of hamburger on August 28, 2010 due to potential contamination with E coli O26. The products subject to recall bears the establishment number "EST. 9400" inside the USDA mark of inspection. Read about a Cargill lawsuit.
Potentially-contaminated beef was repackaged and sold in BJ's Wholesale Club stores, according to the USDA. The stores listed by the USDA include the following:

According to the USDA-FSIS, the recalled Cargill beef was repackaged by retailers. The only retailer listed on the FSIS list of retailers is BJ's Wholesale Club. This means that E coli O26 victims may be able to sue both Cargill and BJ's Wholesale Club. Our lawyers would have to look at the specific facts of your case to determine who can be sued.
