PAJARO, Calif., -- January 23, 2009--Falcon Trading Company/SunRidge Farms announced that it has taken the precautionary measure of voluntarily recalling the items listed below:
  • Item #: 022157 SunRidge Tropical Golden Nugget UPC 086700221570, 10 lb CaseLot Codes 2708, Total cases involved 34
    Item #: 021116 SunRidge Chocolate Energy Bar UPC 086700211168, 10 lb CaseLot Codes 2948, 3108, 3388, Total cases involved 93
    Item #: 868064 SunRidge Energy Nuggets UPC 086700680643, 8 oz. BagLot Codes 2490893, Total cases involved 31 (12 bags per case).
The product contains peanut butter supplied by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), which is the subject of an FDA investigation concerning the recent Salmonella outbreak. PCA has initiated a voluntary recall of certain peanut butter and peanut paste made at its Blakely, Georgia facility, "because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella." No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recalled product and no other SunRidge Farms products are being recalled.
The above mentioned items were co-packed for Falcon Trading Company/SunRidge Farms and were not produced in our facility. We have not introduced into our facility any peanut butter or peanut paste that was made by PCA in its Blakely, Georgia facility.
