Truck School Bus Collision Injures Children

A collision between a truck and a school bus carrying 39 children in Ruskin, Florida, resulted in 10 children taken to the hospital with minor injuries, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

The driver, 39-year-old Olga Guerrero, was cited with violating the right-of-way when she made a left turn into the path of an oncoming truck Wednesday morning. She was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The Times also reported that Linda Cobbe, spokeswoman for Hillsborough County Schools, said Guerrero has a clean driving record but will be tested for drugs and alcohol as standard procedure.
