On July 7, 2010, Campus Cruisers LLC, of Boulder, Colorado, recalled about 100 Eastside Fix Bicycles because the bicycle’s front fork can crack or break, causing a sudden loss of steering control and posing a fall hazard to bicyclists.

June 13, 2007 - Cannondale Bicycle Corp. has recalled about 6,700 Cannondale mountain bikes with Lefty Speed SL and Lefty Speed DLR Forks. SRAM Force Bike Brake Caliper Recall
April 10, 2007 – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of about 5,400 SRAM Force road brake caliper sets. October 25, 2006 – The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of about 18,000 Time Sport RXS bike pedals, which may pose a fall hazard for riders. Children’s Bicycles
December 22, 2005—The CPSC and Recreational Equipment Inc., of Kent, Washington, announced the recall of about 2,800 children’s bicycles sold as Novara Dirt Rider bicycles. The frame of the bicycles can be prone to fatigue failure. Frame failure results in the separation of the fork, head tube, and handlebar away from the rest of the bike causing a loss of control and crash, posing a risk of serious injury to the rider. Recreational Equipment Inc. has received 4 reports of frames failing, all resulting in crashes.
Recall of Schwinn Bicycle Child Carriers Due to Risk of Falling
On May 9, 2006, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of about 14,000 Schwinn bicyle child carriers. The carrier is a seat for a child that is attached to the back of an adult bicycle. The manufacturer has received five reports of the bicycle child carriers falling.
