Valley Meat Beef Recall
Prompted by an outbreak of E. coli O157:H7, Valley Meat Company, a Modesto, California establishment, recalled approximately one million pounds of frozen ground beef patties and bulk ground beef products. Read about the Valley Meat recall and a Valley Meat lawsuit.

E. coli HUS Lawsuit against National Steak
Attorney Fred Pritzker has been retained by an E. coli HUS victim whose illness was linked to steak contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. The steak was processed by National Steak and Poultry, an Owasso, Oklahoma meat processor and served to the woman at a chain restaurant. Read about restaurant E coli.

HUS-TTP Lawsuit
Our lawyers filed suit against The Barbecue Pit, Inc. restaurant, Nebraska Beef, Ltd. and H & L Distributors on behalf of a woman who contracted an E. coli infection after eating contaminated beef later recalled by Nebraska Beef. She developed HUS-TTP and almost died.

South Shore Meat Company Recall
On October 26, 2009, South Shore Meat Company in Brockton, Massachusetts has recalled about 1,039 pounds of fresh ground beef patties derived from bench trim as well as mechanically tenderized beef cuts based on confirmed laboratory evidence of the presence of E. coli O157:H7 in leftover ground beef samples obtained from Camp Bournedale, a nature camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts. JBS Swift Beef Recall
At least 18 cases of E. coli have been associated with eating JBS Swift Beef Company beef products. Prompted by this E. coli outbreak, JBS Swift recalled about 380,000 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. Read about a possible JBS Swift Beef Company lawsuit.

Ground Beef E. coli Outbreak
An investigation of E. coli infections associated with consumption of ground beef has sickened people in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania. One 7-year-old Cleveland girl may have died in the outbreak. Multi-State Outbreak Linked to Nebraska Beef
State and federal health officials have linked 31 confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7 to Nebraska Beef, Ltd. products sold under the Coleman brand. People in 12 states were sickened: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. The recalled Coleman products were sold by grocery stores, including but not limited to Whole Foods Market.

Massachusetts E. coli Outbreak
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has confirmed 7 cases of E. coli O157:H7. Health officials have associated recalled Nebraska Beef, Ltd. ground beef sold under the Coleman brand by Whole Foods Market with this outbreak. Georgia E. coli, Barbecue Pit Lawsuit and Nebraska Beef, Ltd. Lawsuit.
An E. coli outbreak in Georgia has been linked to the Barbecue Pit in Moultrie, Georgia. Our lawyers are representing 3 Georgia E. coli victims. This outbreak also been linked to the multistate E. coli outbreak linked to Kroger Co. and Nebraska Beef, Ltd. Read more about Georgia Ecoli.

"More resources must be devoted to federal food safety. The current system is undermined by too much fragmentation of responsibility and not enough coordination between federal, state and local agencies," stated Attorney Fred Pritzker, who represents E. coli victims nationwide.

"One also has to wonder if microbiological testing is lax. Ground beef and other meat products should not be allowed to leave the manufacturer unless their safety is confirmed. Eating a hamburger should not be a high-risk activity."
