Stamina InMotion Mini-Trampoline: Lawyer with Product Liability Experience
Pritzker | Ruohonen & Associates, P.A., is a premier personal injury law firm with a national reputation for success in complex product liability cases. Over the years we have had several million-dollar recoveries, including a recent settlement for $3,750,000. (The result in this case was based on the facts. Although the facts of most cases do not support a million-dollar recovery, at Pritzker | Ruohonen we aggressively pursue every case.)

Our senior partner, Fred Pritzker, has been practicing product liability law for over 29 years. In recognition of his achievements, other lawyers have elected to have him included in the 2005-2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Stamina InMotion Mini-Trampoline: CPSC Recall

April 6, 2006 – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with Stamina Products, Inc., of Springfield, Missouri, announced a recall of about 668,000 InMotion Trampolines. If a person assembles the trampoline alone and the outside rail is released momentarily, the trampoline can snap back into the folded position and strike the consumer, posing a risk of serious injury. Stamina has received 13 reports of injuries including two concussions; a rotated disc; two reports of facial bone fractures; six injuries requiring stitches to the forehead, eyebrow, lip and/or chin; a corneal abrasion; and two reports of chipped teeth.

The round, black mini-trampoline measures 36 inches across and has six 7 ½-inch long metal legs. The mini-trampoline is used for in-place jogging and other cardiovascular exercises. Most mini-trampolines that have model numbers containing 35-1625 are included in the recall. Model 35-1625C and 35-1625CW units are not included in the recall. The model number along with the customer service and serial numbers are stamped on a black and white label on one of the legs containing the name “Stamina.”

The InMotion Trampolines were sold at Wal-Mart, Play It Again Sports, and various other retail outlets nationwide and online sellers, including Wal-Mart.com, from August 2000 through March 2006 for about $20.
