Recall of Artic Cat Off-Highway Utility Vehicles
July 22, 2005-- In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Arctic Cat Inc., of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, is voluntarily recalling about 700 Arctic Cat Prowler XT Off-Highway Utility Vehicles. The brakes on these vehicles can fail. Arctic Cat has received notice of one incident of a brake pad dislodging from the rear caliper and one incident of a foot-brake lever flexing.


Robertshaw Controls Co. Announce Recall of Gas Control Valves on Water Heaters
September 16, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Robertshaw Controls Co., of Long Beach, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 178,000 Robertshaw R110 Series Gas Control Valves. Screws on some water heater valves could break. If this happens, gas could leak from the valve, which poses a risk of gas explosion and fire.


Recall of Sony AC Adaptors Sold with PlayStation® 2 Systems
September 13, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc., of Foster City, Calif. is voluntarily recalling about 843,000 AC Adaptors sold with slim version PlayStation® 2 Systems. The recalled AC adaptors can overheat and melt. This poses the risk of fire, burn and shock injuries to consumers. Sony has received 57 reports of overheating and melting. Injuries have included burns and shock.


Recall of DOLMAR Chain Saws and Makita Chain Saws September 12, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), DOLMAR Power Products, of Duluth, Ga., and Mikita U.S.A. Inc, of la Mirada, Calif., are voluntarily recalling about 1,300 DOSMAR chain saws and 3,400 Makita chain saws. The flywheels on some of the chain saws can come apart during use, which could cause euipment accidents and serious personal injury.


Recall of Coleman® Gas Grills and Coleman® Patio Heaters September 8, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Coleman Company, Inc., of Wichita, Kan. and TPA Metals and Machinery of China are voluntarily recalling about 124,000 Coleman® Gas Grills and about 6,200 Coleman® Patio Heaters. The regulators on these products can leak propane when the propane cylinder is turned on and the product is not in use. This can pose a fire or explosion hazard. Coleman has received 98 reports of regulators leaking propane.


Recall of Surf Club™ Arm Band Pool Floats
September 2, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Atico International USA, Inc., of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. is voluntarily recalling about 480,000 pairs Surf Club™ Arm Bands. The seams of the inflatable arm bands can tear, causing them to deflate. This poses a drowning hazard to young children. Atico has received two reports of arm bands leaking during use.


Recall of Harley-Davidson 16-inch BMX Bicycles
September 2, 2005--In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), World Wide Cycle Supply Inc., of Islandia, N.Y. is voluntarily recalling about 25,000 Harley-Davidson 16-inch BMX Bicycles. The fork that holds the front wheel can separate at the weld, causing the rider to fall and suffer injuries. World Wide Cycle Supply Inc. has received 15 reports of fork welds breaking on these bicycles. There have been reports of six riders suffering injuries during bicycle accidents including injuries to the face, hands and mouth such as bruises, lacerations and lost teeth.
