Recall of Industrial Ladders
November 23, 2005--The CPSC and Louisville Ladder Inc., of Louisville, Kentucky, have recalled about 3000 industrial ladders. The rung on the ladders could bread near the side rail causing the user to fall. There have been 2 reportsof rungs breaking. Read about workplace injuries and construction accidents.
Recall of Toys Due to Choking Hazard
November 22, 2005 - The CPSC has issued recalls on the following toys:
- Toy Activity Sets. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Wal-Mart Stores Inc., of Bentonville, Ark., is voluntarily recalling about 7,200 10-in-1 Activity Trunks by Kid Connection. Some of the toys in these trunks contain small parts, posing a choking hazard to young children.
- Toy Vehicles. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), International Playthings Inc., of Parsippany, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 6,000 Flexitoys Monster-Size Vehicles. Small parts can detach, which pose a choking hazard to young children.
- Toy Cars. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), International Playthings Inc., of Parsippany, N.J., is voluntarily recalling about 1,900 Viking Chubbies Toy Cars. The heads on the figures sold with the cars can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Recall of Vaporizers and Aromatherapy Diffusers
November 17, 2005 - The CPSC is recalling Vapor-Eze Waterless Vaporizers and Vapor-Eze Aromatherapy Diffusers. 6 fires have been reported. One young child has been hospitalized for burn injuries on the face and hands. Read information on fire and burn injuries.
Recall of Suzuki ATVs
November 17, 2005 - In cooperation with the CPSC, American Suzuki Motor Corp., Montgomery Motors Ltd., and Suzuki Del Caribe, Inc., are voluntarily recalling about 19,600 Suzuki 2005 model year LT-A700XK5 King Quad ATVs. FDA has annonced a Medtronic Spring Fidelis defibrillator lead recall. Two of our clients with defective Medtronic leads were shocked over twenty times before medical professionals were able to turn off the defibrillator.
Fleet Lawsuit

Ortho Evra Lawsuit: Ortho Evra Birth Control Patch
The Ortho Evra birth control patch has been linked to an increased risk of blood clots that can lead to pulmonary embolism, stroke and heart attack.
Trasylol Recall
Bayer has agreed to a marketing suspension of Trasylol, a drug used to control bleeding during heart surgery, pending detailed review of preliminary results from a Canadian study that suggested an increased risk for death.
Fentanyl Lawsuit and Fentanyl Recall
There have been a number of recalls regarding fentanyl due to the risk of a fentanyl overdose.
Fosamax and Osteonecrosis
Several cases of bisphosphonate-associated osteonecrosis of the jaw have been associated with the use of oral bisphosphonates, including Fosamax®, Actonel®, and other medications.
NuvaRing Death
