Minnesota Asbestos Information
Asbestos is known to cause cancer and other harm in people who have been exposed at work, at home, and even while innocently playing near or on asbestos dump sites. The Minnesota Department of Health has issued Minnesota asbestos rules and regulations regarding the disposal and treatment of asbestos and asbestos-containing products like vermiculite waste and home insulation. Many companies were not, and some still are not, careful about their disposal and treatment of asbestos.

The Minnesota Department of Health has completed a report on the exposure to asbestos in vermiculite waste in Northeast Minneapolis.  This study looked at the different ways residents of Northeast Minneapolis may have been exposed to asbestos in vermiculite waste that was connected to the Western Mineral Porducts/W.R. Grace plant in Northeast Minneapolis.

Sadly, some Minnesota families have had to face the issue of asbestos exposure due to asbestos-contaminated vermiculite waste when loved ones are diagnosed with cancer that is linked to such exposure, which is called Mesothelioma.  When this happens, the pain, suffering, and emotional anguish are incalculable. One thing families need to know is that even if the exposure was decades ago, they may be able to sue the company at fault. A Minnesota asbestos attorney should be consulted.

Minnesota Hazardous Chemical Information
The Minnesota Department of Health regulates and investigates hazardous chemicals in Minnesota. On its Web site, it lists Minnesota companies it is investigating and why. Currently, it is looking at a Minneapolis company that is emitting Dicyclopentadiene, a chemical that can cause some physical problems.

The Minnesota Department of Health also has information on pesticides. Many pesticides can cause harm to pesticide plant workers, farm workers, farm families, and people who live near farms or pesticide plants. The National Institutes of Health and the federal Environmental Protection Agency are sponsoring a study investigating the health of the agriculture population. The Agricricultural Health Study should shed more light on the issue of pesticides and human health.

We hope this information and the Web site links have been helpful. Please feel free to learn about Minnesota personal injury legal representation with Pritzker | Olsen, P.A.. We also have more information about the Minnesota personal injury attorneys at the law firm. We are here to help.
