Alfalfa Sprouts Recall
According to Connecticut's Consumer Protection Commissioner, alfalfa sprouts produced by Amalgamated Produce Inc. were found to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Burrito Recall
A Denver company has recalled 172 pounds of 5.3-ounce burritos sold individually in convenience stores Dec. 24 and 25 after tests by the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) found they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Sopressata Sausage Recall
DeNiro Cheese, a Youngstown, Ohio, firm, has recalled approximately one pound of Sopressata sausage products that may be contaminated with Listeria.
Zeigler Hot Dog Recall
R. L. Zeigler Co., Inc., a Selma, Ala., firm, is recalling approximately 28,610 pounds of hot dog products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
NY Fish Smoked Salmon Recall
NY FISH INC. of Brooklyn, NY, is recalling I ♥ NY FISH brand IMPERIAL-EUROPEAN STYLE SMOKED SALMON, vacuum packed, in 3 oz., 8 oz., 16 oz., and whole sides (“to be weighed at time of sale”) sizes with lot numbers 513 1340, 514 1340, 515 1340, and 516 1340, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria.
American Sub Recall
Landshire, Inc. has recalled its American Sub sandwich sue to possible Listeria contamination. The recalled American Sub sandwiches were distributed in the Midwestern States of: Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The recalled American Sub sandwiches were sold to Circle K Convenience Stores exclusively.
Stop and Shop Tuna Salad Recall
Home Made Brand Foods, located in Newburyport, MA, voluntarily recalled approximately 5,000 pounds of “Ready-to-Eat Tuna Salad” after routine sampling found the product had the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
May's Pork Recall
Palama Holdings, LLC, a Kapolei, Hawaii, establishment, is recalling approximately 4,535 pounds of fully cooked pork products because they may be contaminated with Listeria.
Roche Brothers and Sudbury Farms Roller Sandwich Recall
several types of ready-to-eat “roller sandwiches” manufactured by a Wilmington Massachusetts Company, DBC, Inc. (doing business as World Class Canapés, Inc.) has recalled several types of "roller sandwiches" because they may be contaminated with Listeria. These sandwiches were sold by eighteen Roche Brothers and Sudbury Farms stores in eastern Massachusetts and may have been offered in the prepared food section or used on party platters. None of this product was sold outside of Massachusetts.
Kroger Salmon Recall
Vita Food Products, Inc. of Chicago, Illinois has notified the public that twelve individual packages of Vita Nova Salmon, were sold at Kroger stores in Houston, Texas on or after July 22 of this year may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. In addition, 192 individual packages of this same product have either possibly been sold or are being offered for sale at various grocery stores in the Avenol, New Jersey metropolitan area.
Listeria - Salmolux Smoked Salmon Nova Lox Recall
Salmolux Inc. of Federal Way, WA, has recalled lot # 01418 of its Wild Alaskan Smoked Salmon Nova Lox sold in 3 ounce packages due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Fresca Italia Cheese Recall
Fresca Italia of Brisbane, CA is recalling Burrata, a type of cheese, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria. the recalled cheese was distributed in the San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California in retail stores and restaurants. Pennsylvania Raw Milk Recall
The Pennsylvania Agriculture Department has warned consumers that raw milk from Piney Ridge dairy farm in New Bethlehem, Clarion County, and Clark and Elaine Duncan's farm in Meadville, Crawford County, purchased anytime after March 10 may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is warning consumers not to eat smoked pork and beef bratwurst make by J&B Meats of Barnesville, Minnesota, with the lot number PBB30306, and Minnesota State Establishment Number 1198. Ca Rem #1 Coconut-Flavored Dessert Recall
Rem #1 has recalled its Ca Rem #1 Ice Cream, SeaTac, is voluntarily recalling its coconut-flavored frozen dessert. The non-dairy dessert may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall of the frozen dessert was initiated after routine sampling and analysis by the Washington State Department of Agriculture revealed the presence of Listeria. Whittier Farms Milk and Possible Listeria Contamination
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) has issued a warning regarding milk products from Whittier Farms in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts due to possible Listeria contamination. Two elderly men have died and two other people have been sickened in a Listeria outbreak that has been associated with Whittier Farms milk. Sweetwater Valley Farms Cheese Recall
Sweetwater Valley Farms, Inc. of Philadelphia, Tennessee is recalling its Tennessee Aged Southern Mild Cheddar Cheese (yellow) and Tennessee Aged Southern Sharp Cheddar Cheese (yellow) because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Double B Foods Sausage Rolls Recall
Double B Foods, Inc. has recalled about 98,000 pounds of frozen sausage roll products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The frozen sausage roll products were produced on various dates between Oct. 25 and Nov. 6, and were distributed to retail establishments in Texas, and institutions, catalogue sales and distribution centers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas. Listeria: Quong Hop Soy Deli Tofu Recall
According to a press release, Quong Hop & Co. of South San Francisco, California, has recalled some tofu products because they might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. “The recall includes all packages of Soy Deli tofu coded Dec. 17, 2007. Listeria: Jensen's Smoked Salmon Spread Recall
On September 8, 2007, Jensen's Old Fashioned Smokehouse Inc. recalled two smoked salmon spread products because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Acme Smoked Fish Corporation has recalled 132 lbs of 4 oz. Smoked Salmon (Acme NY Original) and 114 lbs of 8 oz. Smoked Salmon (Acme NY Original) due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. This product was distributed to retail stores in the South Florida Region. Listeria Recall: Regal King Seafood Dips Sold at A & P Stores
Ocean King Enterprises Inc. of Philadelphia, PA is recalling Regal King seafood dips, because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The seafood dips were sold in bulk 5-pound containers to A & P warehouses. The dips were then repackaged and sold in clear plastic containers with a Regal King label. The New York State Department of Agriculture is warning consumers that Neparovana Smoked Sausage may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Sandwich Recall Due to Risk of Listeriosis
IFS, Inc. has recalled about 7500 chicken sandwiches, Cuban sandwiches, and Italian sandwiches that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially fatal foodborne pathogen. Listeria: Tennessee Chicken Leg Recall
The USDA-FSIS announced a ready-to-eat chicken leg recall due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially fatal foodborne pathogen. Warning Regarding Piney Ridge Farm Raw Milk
The FDA has issued a warning regarding Piney Ridge Farm raw milk due to possible Listeria contamination. Raw milk is milk that has not been pasteurized or homogenized. Listeria Alert: Compare Foods in Providence, Rhode Island
Consumers are advised to discard all food items prepared at Compare Foods, 863 Broad St., Providence, Rhode Island. This includes prepared foods such as sandwiches, deli sliced meats and cheeses, and prepared salads such as tuna, macaroni, seafood, turkey, ham and cheese, potato, and cole slaw. These foods should be discarded because there is the potential that they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. December 04, 2006 -- Jamba Juice of San Francisco, CA in consultation with the FDA is notifying the public that smoothies containing strawberries which were sold at its Jamba Juice stores in Arizona, Southern Nevada and Southern California between November 25 - December 1, 2006, may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. On October 16, 2006, the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services announced a recall of Ballard's Farm Egg Salad due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially fatal foodborne pathogen. The product is sold at Wal-Mart and other food retailers in North Carolina. It also has been distributed to Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Listeria Recall: Ohio Pork Products
Herman Falter Packing Co., a Columbus, Ohio, firm, is voluntarily recalling approximately 1,178 pounds of various pork products that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The pork products were produced on September 13, 18 or 19, 2006, and were distributed to retail and wholesale establishments in the Columbus, Ohio, region. Listeria Recall: Portillo's Roast Beef in Chigago
Portillo's Food Service, Inc. is voluntarily recalling 3,703 pounds of sliced roast beef that may have been contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The fully-cooked, sliced roast beef was produced on Sept. 27 by Portillo’s Food Service, Inc. and distributed to select Portillo’s restaurant outlets in the greater Chicagoland area. Listeria Recall: Monterey Mushrooms Fresh, Sliced White and Baby Bella Mushrooms
The FDA has announced the recall of Monterey Mushrooms fresh, sliced white and baby bella mushrooms sold in Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Virginia. The mushrooms may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a dangerous foodborne pathogen that can cause serious injury and death. On July 25, 2006, the USDA-FSIS announced a recall of Orientex Manila Style Hot Dogs due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. Recall of Cut Cahill's Farm Porter Cheese Due to Listeria Risk
On May 18, 2006, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall by Swiss-American, Inc., of St. Louis, Missouri, of Cut Cahill’s Farm Porter Cheese because Listeria monocytogenes, a rare but often fatal foodborne pathogen, was discovered in a sample of the product. Jimmy Dean and State Fair Cheeseburgers Recalled Due to Listeria Risk
In the April 19, 2006, edition of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Enforcement Report, the FDA re-announced a December 2005 recall of State Fair Cheeseburgers and Jimmy Dean Cheeseburgers. The recall was initiated because the cheese burgers were assembled with sliced American processed cheese that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
