Advocate for the Injured
Brendan said the following about representing people against insurace companies:
Over the last ten years, automobile insurance companies have been increasingly low balling injured people. Even though almost everybody will at some point have a car accident or have a loved one in an accident, most people do not realize how difficult it is to get fair compensation after a car accident.
Insurance companies know that most people cannot wait for trial to have their medical bills and wage loss paid. They know that a trial takes time and great effort. The companies have many lawyers working for them and all the time in the world. They use that advantage to force many people to take less than their injuries are worth.
To get fair compensation for wage loss, medical bills and physical injuries, injured people must go to trial. This process puts added stress on the injured person and their families, delays payment of medical bills and can drag out for years. The system will work better for everybody – both injured people and defendants – if insurance companies offered fair compensation outside the court system.
I am committed to making this system work better for injured people. If insurance companies refuse to pay fair compensation, I believe it is just and reasonable to exercise the right to a jury trial. With each verdict in favor of a person injured in a car accident, the insurance companies will face increasing pressure to pay a fair amount early on.
When a client allows me to help them fight insurance companies through the jury system, I am grateful and inspired. That is what this profession is all about.
Right now, Brendan along with Fred Pritzker and Eric Hageman, is representing people injured in Yamaha Rhino rollover cases.
